Privacy Policy — FocusFlow

FocusFlow ("we", "our", or "the app") is developed by Chris Weaver. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use FocusFlow on iOS.

Your data stays on your device

FocusFlow stores all of your tasks, focus sessions, streaks, achievements, and settings locally on your device using Apple's built-in storage. We do not operate servers that collect or store your personal data.

1. Information We Collect

Information stored on your device

FocusFlow stores the following data locally on your device to provide its core functionality:

Tasks you create (titles, estimated pomodoros, completion status)
Focus session history (start time, duration, completion status)
Streak and achievement data
App preferences and settings (timer durations, sound/haptic preferences)
Garden and gamification progress

This data is stored using Apple's UserDefaults and is not transmitted to any external server.

Information we do NOT collect

Your name, email address, or contact information
Location data
Health or medical information
Browsing history
Device identifiers for advertising or tracking purposes
Analytics or usage data sent to third-party services

2. In-App Purchases

FocusFlow offers optional Pro upgrades (lifetime purchase and monthly subscription) through Apple's App Store. All purchase transactions are processed entirely by Apple. We do not receive, process, or store any payment information such as credit card numbers or billing addresses. For details on how Apple handles purchase data, please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy.

3. Notifications

FocusFlow may request permission to send local notifications (such as timer completion alerts and daily reminders). These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device and are not sent through any external push notification service. You can manage notification permissions at any time in your device's Settings app.

4. Third-Party Services

FocusFlow does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The app does not contain any third-party SDKs that collect user data.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information with any third parties. Since all data is stored locally on your device, we do not have access to it.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

All app data is stored on your device. You can delete all FocusFlow data at any time by:

Using the "Reset All Data" option in the app's Settings
Deleting the FocusFlow app from your device

When you delete the app, all associated data is permanently removed from your device.

7. Children's Privacy

FocusFlow does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The app does not require account creation or the submission of any personal information.

8. Security

Your data is protected by your device's built-in security features, including device passcode, Face ID, and Touch ID. Since data remains on your device and is not transmitted over the internet, there is no risk of data interception during transmission.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
